About Gross and Gonzalez

Robert Gross, Esq.

 

Robert A. Gross, was born and raised in New York City. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law and graduated from the State University of New York with a degree in English Literature. Robert Gross is a United States Marine Corps Veteran.

 

Prior to Law School, Robert Gross began his legal career as a New York City Police Officer serving in the department’s Community Policing and Intelligence units. In law school, Robert Gross clerked for the Honorable Cheryl L. Pollak, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York and interned at both the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

After law School Robert Gross worked for approximately four years at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office as a Prosecutor. As a prosecutor he tried more than 40 cases before a jury and handled over 1,000 adult and juvenile misdemeanor and felony cases including: Dui, Insurance and Medicare Fraud, Organized Crime, White Collar Crime, Domestic Violence, Cyber and Sex Crimes. Upon leaving the State Attorneys Office Robert Gross was named Senior Case Manager for the Washington D.C firm, Investigative Group International, where he provided civil and criminal litigation support to corporations and individuals of high net worth as well handling internal corporate, and complex white collar investigations. Robert Gross was formerly an Administrative Law Judge with the Taxi and Limousine Commission.

 

Mr. Gross was the lead prosecuting attorney in the highly sensationalized ‘orange man’ case in Miami. This case involved a life sentence for an individual charged with various violent felonies over a lengthy period of time. Mr Gross was able to navigate a highly publicized matter, and media coverage, and achieve his offices directive. He is a skilled prosecutor, and brings this experience to criminal defense.

Carlos Gonzalez

 

Carlos Gonzalez is a New York City native, he attended City University of New York York College for his undergraduate degree in Political Science. He later received a Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, with a concentration in Federal Law and Constitutional Law.

 

Mr. Gonzalez is admitted to practice law in the State of New York as well as the Eastern and Southern District Federal Courts, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also handled Federal cases throughout the Country. Mr. Gonzalez has worked for the NYPD Department Advocates Office, a department entrusted with Internally prosecuting police officers accused of violating the law. He has also worked for the New Jersey Attorney Generals office in their Bureau of Securities, an office handling securities regulation and compliance issues. He has also worked with the United Nations in their First Committee while at the Lawyers Committee on Nuclear Policy.

He has an extremely vast background, and has brought that to his practice. Upon graduating Law School Mr. Gonzalez began working for a high profile NYC criminal defense attorney. After opening his own practice, Gonzalez Law Associates P.C., Mr.Gonzalez was defense counsel for the ‘Biggest Drug Bust in the History of Westchester County,’ a case that was highly publicized in the local media, where he was able to secure a sentence of time served for his client after only 6 months. He has repeatedly secured results beyond anyone’s expectations, and has developed a reputation because of these results.
